Seeking to live out these words of St. Paul, Cross of Christ is a friendly and still relatively new mission parish of the
Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, which is part of the Anglican Province of the
Southern Cone, in the global Anglican Communion. We are also affiliated with the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), a network of traditional Anglican parishes & dioceses formally organized in 2009.
Cross of Christ was founded in 2009, when our Bishop, the Right Rev'd. Jack Leo Iker, agreed to accept the idea of two of our core families to begin an Episcopal (Anglican) work in Glen Rose.
The Reverend William O'Connell officially became our new Priest in November, 2011.
We provide traditional Anglican values in both our view of ministry and in our liturgical and pastoral style. We worship in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, using The Book of Common Prayer.
We strongly affirm the authority of Holy Scripture as the written Word of God, as well as the historic Christian traditions and teachings of the Church.
